Two Killed, Including a Journalist, in Pro-Monarchy Protest

Kathmandu – Two people, including a journalist, died during a pro-monarchy protest led by Durga Prasai on Friday.

According to Home Ministry official Chhabi Rijal, 29-year-old Sabin Maharjan from Kirtipur Municipality-4 was shot and killed by the police. He was participating in the protest when the situation turned violent, leading the police to open fire.

Additionally, journalist Suresh Rajak’s body was found near a house that was set on fire by protesters. A police officer from the Valley Police Office confirmed that the body belonged to Rajak, who worked for Avenues Television.
