Pakistan Hits Kabul: Many People Killed in Airstrike

1 month agoAdmin

Kabul, Afghanistan — A major airstrike hit the capital city of Kabul on 16 March 2026. Afghan officials say the attack was carried out by Pakistan and caused heavy damage in the city.

According to Afghan authorities, the airstrike hit a drug treatment hospital in Kabul. The building was badly destroyed. Officials say more than 400 people were killed and around 250 others were injured in the attack. Many of the victims were patients who were receiving treatment at the hospital.

The Afghan government strongly condemned the attack and called it a serious violation of international law. Leaders in Afghanistan said the strike targeted civilians and demanded an investigation.

Pakistan, however, denied attacking a hospital. Pakistani officials said their military strikes were aimed at militant groups and terrorist hideouts, not civilians. They said the operation was carried out to stop attacks coming from Afghan territory.

Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have been rising for months because both countries accuse each other of supporting militant groups near their border. Experts say this latest strike could make the situation even more dangerous in the region.

Officials from international organizations have asked both countries to remain calm and try to solve the conflict through talks instead of violence.
