Ravi Lamichhane Taken to Bhairahawa

1 year agoAdmin

On 5 April, Kathmandu – Ravi Lamichhane, the president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been taken to Bhairahawa.

He was arrested from his home on Friday night. The police took him to Bhairahawa on a Yeti Airlines flight. Lamichhane, who is also a former Home Minister, was kept in custody at the District Police Office in Bhadra Kali, Kathmandu on Friday night.

Although he was taken to the airport at 7:30 in the morning, the flight was delayed, so he reached Bhairahawa late.

Ravi Lamichhane is accused of being involved in cooperative fraud through an organized group. The Butwal bench of the Tulsipur High Court ordered on Friday that he should be sent to jail. After that, the police arrested him from his house in Budhanilkantha.

Earlier, the Rupandehi District Court had asked him to pay bail of 10 million rupees in the Butwal Supreme Cooperative case. But the High Court changed that decision and ordered that he be sent to prison.
